AgFeed Inks $53M Sale Of Chinese Assets Amid Scrutiny

Law360, New York (September 20, 2013, 11:32 AM EDT) -- Bankrupt AgFeed Industries Inc. agreed to sell its Chinese assets to a Hong Kong business for $52.8 million last week as the U.S. Trustee's Office asked a Delaware bankruptcy judge to appoint an examiner to learn more about the state of AgFeed's Chinese operations.

The stalking horse bid from Good Charm International Development Ltd. marks a loss of nearly $20 million from the $70 million the hog farming company originally invested in its Chinese operations.
