Shell Submits Rates For La.-To-Texas Pipeline To FERC

Law360, New York (September 20, 2013, 5:21 PM EDT) -- Royal Dutch Shell PLC has asked federal regulators to approve shipping rates for two small sections of a Louisiana-to-Texas oil pipeline whose direction the company is in the process of reversing.

The company made its request Sept. 17, and is seeking to charge 31.08 per barrel between Caillou Island — a small oil outpost about a half-mile off the Louisiana coast — and Clovelly, La., and to charge 27.42 cents between Clovelly and Houma, about 80 miles away.
