UK Watchdog Provides Support For Bra Price-Fixing Claims

Law360, New York (September 20, 2013, 3:00 PM EDT) -- One of the U.K.'s competition watchdog agencies said Friday it has reason to believe an underwear apparel company and three major retailers had run afoul of antitrust laws by conspiring to fix prices on a brand of sports bras.

The Office of Fair Trading issued a statement of objections alleging that DB Apparel UK Ltd. entered into nine anti-competitive agreements with retailers John Lewis Partnership PLC, Debenhams PLC and House of Fraser Ltd. between 2008 and 2011 to fix prices on the company's Shock Absorber brand...
