NRC Cites Mitsubishi, SCE For Calif. Nuke Plant Woes

Law360, New York (September 23, 2013, 5:42 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission on Monday cited Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. for designing defective replacement steam generators for Southern California Edison Co.'s now-shuttered San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, and cited the utility for failing to ensure Mitsubishi's modeling and analysis for the generator design were accurate.
