'Frivolous' Weight Bias Claim Against Dish Installer Tossed

Law360, New York (September 23, 2013, 3:50 PM EDT) -- A Michigan federal judge cut a putative weight discrimination class action against satellite dish installer Multiband Field Services Inc. in half Wednesday, sanctioning an unsuccessful job applicant's lawyers for pursuing a “frivolous” disparate impact claim without identifying a facially neutral policy to support it.
