ICA Fluor Inks $100M Pemex Contract For Refinery Upgrade

Law360, New York (September 23, 2013, 5:47 PM EDT) -- ICA Fluor, a joint venture between Mexican infrastructure company ICA and U.S. engineering firm Fluor Corp., has won a nearly $100 million deal from Mexican state-run energy company Petroleos Mexicanos to enhance the Miguel Hidalgo refinery in Tula, the companies announced Monday.

ICA Fluor will reprocess fuel byproducts into higher-value distillates, increasing distillate production at the facility between 63 and 80 percent, according to the announcement. The joint venture will take a year and a half to complete, the companies said.
