W.Va. Judge Reaches Deal With Feds In Conspiracy Case

Law360, New York (September 24, 2013, 5:39 PM EDT) -- The U.S. attorney's office agreed Tuesday to drop charges against a West Virginia county judge for his alleged attempt to frame his mistress' husband on drug accusations if he pled guilty to a second conspiracy charge that was lodged against him last week.

Assistant U.S. Attorney C. Haley Bunn, who is prosecuting both cases, declined to comment further on the agreement with Judge Michael Thornsbury as it has not yet been approved in court. A plea hearing is scheduled for Oct. 2.
