Morgan Stanley Appeals $1.5B Perelman Verdict

Law360, New York (December 13, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- Morgan Stanley has appealed the $1.45 billion award won by financier Ronald Perelman earlier this year in a dispute over Perelman’s sale of camping-gear company to Sunbeam Corp. in 1998.

In a 96-page brief filed last week in the Fourth District Court of Appeal for Florida in West Palm Beach, Morgan Stanley argues that its case was prejudiced by improper rulings made by the trial judge.
