Wal-Mart Gets Dukes Members' Class Bias Claims Nixed Again

Law360, New York (September 24, 2013, 3:55 PM EDT) -- A Florida federal judge on Monday dismissed class claims in a sex discrimination suit against Wal-Mart Stores Inc., joining three other federal judges who've held that women in the nationwide Dukes class disbanded in 2011 couldn't pursue regional claims against Wal-Mart on a class basis.

U.S. District Judge Robert Scola granted Wal-Mart's bid to dismiss the class allegations leveled by ex-worker Zenovida Love and other women whose suit took aim at allegedly discriminatory practices in the southeast U.S., finding that the claims were time-barred.
