Chip Makers Wrangle Over Digital Processor Patents

Law360 (December 14, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- Semiconductor maker BIAX Corp. has filed a patent infringement suit against rival Philips Semiconductor, alleging that the company infringed four of its patents for digital processing systems.

BIAX clams that “defendants have had actual and constructive notice and knowledge of the Biax patents. Despite such notice, the defendants continue to import into, market, sell, and/or offer for sale in the United States products covered by the BIAX patents.”
