'Jersey Shore' Star's Contract Suit Against Apparel Co. Nixed

Law360, New York (September 30, 2013, 10:27 PM EDT) -- A Florida federal judge on Monday dismissed "Jersey Shore" star Michael P. "The Situation" Sorrentino's breach of contract and trademark suit against a New York-based apparel company, saying Sorrentino failed to show Florida jurisdiction was appropriate under the state's long-arm statute. 

U.S. District Judge Marcia G. Cooke granted Headrush Apparel Inc.'s motion to dismiss for lack of jurisdiction, finding Headrush doesn't have sufficient ties to Florida to establish jurisdiction in that state.
