King & Spalding Lands Ex-WTO Official For Geneva Office

Law360, New York (October 1, 2013, 1:35 PM EDT) -- King & Spalding LLP's sprawling international trade practice has scored a major coup with the hire of a former World Trade Organization deputy director-general for its Geneva office, the firm announced Tuesday.

Alejandro Jara joins the firm as senior counsel after serving as a top lieutenant to former WTO head Pascal Lamy since 2005. Jara left the multilateral trade body earlier this year when Brazil's Robert Azevedo assumed the director-general post.
