ITA Opens Probe Into Rebar Imports From Mexico, Turkey

Law360, Los Angeles (October 2, 2013, 3:01 PM EDT) -- The International Trade Administration will initiate anti-dumping duty investigations into imports of steel concrete reinforcing bar from Mexico and Turkey, answering a petition filed by domestic producers of rebar, according to a notice published Wednesday in the Federal Register.

The announcement comes a month after the Rebar Trade Action Coalition and a group of American steel companies urged the U.S. International Trade Commission and the U.S. Department of Commerce to investigate whether rebar imported from Turkey and Mexico is being sold in the U.S. at unfairly...
