British Atty Charged In Tax Scheme Allowed To Go To UK

Law360, New York (October 2, 2013, 7:14 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Wednesday loosened the bail conditions of a British lawyer who is accused of helping a wealthy New York family hide cash from tax collectors, allowing him to go to the U.K. to build a defense.

U.S. District Judge Andrew Carter Jr. said attorney Michael Little can travel to the U.K., including Guernsey, a nearby British island.

“My inclination is to allow Mr. Little to go to England to prepare for trial,” Judge Carter said at a conference in Manhattan federal court....
