Goldman, Pension Funds Buy $2B Stake In Denmark's DONG

Law360, New York (October 3, 2013, 2:24 PM EDT) -- Two funds managed by Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and two Danish pension funds will invest 11 billion Danish crowns ($2 billion) for a 26 percent stake in Denmark's state-owned energy firm DONG Energy AS and plan an initial public offering, the company said Thursday.

Goldman will buy $1.46 billion worth of new shares for a 19 percent stake in the company, which owns Denmark's valuable offshore oil and gas reserves. The two pension funds, known as ATP and PFA, will between them pay about $550 million...
