Watchdog Says Bechtel Nuke Waste Plant Lacked Oversight

Law360, Washington (October 3, 2013, 5:12 PM EDT) -- Bechtel Corp. failed to conduct required safety reviews for some equipment used in its pending $12.2 billion waste treatment plant at the Hanford nuclear site, a problem exacerbated by lax U.S. Department of Energy oversight, according to a DOE watchdog report released Thursday.
