Judge Sets Low Royalty Rate For Essential Wi-Fi Patents

Law360, New York (October 3, 2013, 7:46 PM EDT) -- A federal judge ruled Thursday that Cisco Systems Inc. and other companies must pay only 9.56 cents per unit if they are found to infringe standard-essential Wi-Fi patents owned by nonpracticing entity Innovatio IP Ventures LLC, a small fraction of what Innovatio was seeking.
