Allied, Trustee Tussle Over Hiring Of Counsel

Law360, New York (February 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. trustee overseeing the bankruptcy of Sirva Inc., which includes relocation company Allied Van Lines, is threatening to place a roadblock in front of the company's efforts to name a firm to serve as its conflicts counsel.

Sirva filed a motion Wednesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, asserting that Togut Segal & Segal LLP should serve as its conflicts counsel. The motion said that Trustee Diana Adams' concerns about the hire, including its expense, are unfounded.
