Gov't Shutdown Blocks GSA's $60B OASIS Services Contract

Law360, New York (October 4, 2013, 7:58 PM EDT) -- The government shutdown has delayed three massive multiagency acquisitions, including the General Services Administration's planned $60 billion One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services contract, the agency announced Thursday.

The GSA has touted the OASIS procurement as a step toward giving federal agencies a single place to turn when purchasing professional services, including financial, engineering and information technology services. The agency's Federal Acquisition Services released its long-awaited requests for proposals for the OASIS contracts Aug. 1 and set a deadline of Oct. 10 for contractor offers....
