J&J Escapes Damages In Suit Linking Body Powder To Cancer

Law360, New York (October 7, 2013, 5:27 PM EDT) -- The jury found for the plaintiff on her negligence claim Friday in a suit in a South Dakota court alleging Johnson & Johnson knew the use of two products, Johnson's Baby Powder and Shower to Shower, could lead to ovarian cancer.

In order to side with Deane Berg, the plaintiff, the jury had to find that the company's negligence was a legal cause of her injuries.
