Stryker Unit Settles Trade Secrets Claims Against Zimmer

Law360, New York (October 7, 2013, 6:04 PM EDT) -- A Stryker Corp. unit on Friday settled its suit accusing rival medical technology company Zimmer Holdings Inc. of poaching employees and stealing trade secrets, putting the claims to bed just before a scheduled trial.

The trial was slated to start Monday before U.S. District Judge Dennis M. Cavanaugh, but the parties resolved the case Friday, attorneys for Stryker unit Howmedica Osteonics Corp. and Zimmer told Law360. Zimmer attorney Troy Brown said the terms of the settlement were confidential.
