Broadcom's Broadband Patent Win Affirmed By Fed. Circ.

Law360, New York (October 7, 2013, 5:45 PM EDT) -- The Federal Circuit on Monday ruled that high-speed broadband controller chips sold by Emulex Corp. infringe a Broadcom Corp. patent covering the process for analog signal conversion and kept in place an injunction levied against Emulex last year.

In a unanimous opinion, the three-judge panel affirmed a judgment of infringement issued by a California federal court and the subsequent issuance of a permanent injunction.
