Data Networks Hits HP With Patent Suit

Law360 (February 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Data Network Storage has fired off a patent infringement suit against Hewlett-Packard Co., Dell Inc. and Network Appliance Inc., accusing the companies of infringing on a data storage system patent.

DNS filed the complaint on Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, seeking a preliminary and permanent injunction against the three. DNS says the infringement has caused it substantial injury.

California-based DNS alleges that the companies knowingly and deliberately infringed on U.S. Patent Number 6,098,128.
