Ex-Sentinel Exec Admits To Role In $500M Customer Scam

Law360, Chicago (October 8, 2013, 2:38 PM EDT) -- A former Sentinel Management Group Inc. executive pled guilty Tuesday to his part in a fraud that allegedly bilked more than 70 customers out of $500 million in the years leading up to the investment management firm’s 2007 bankruptcy.

Charles K. Mosley, 49, formerly the firm’s senior vice president and head trader, copped to two counts of investment adviser fraud in federal court in Chicago, and agreed in his plea deal to cooperate in the government’s case against co-defendant Eric A. Bloom, Sentinel’s former president and...
