Huawei Asks Fed. Circ. To Revive Patent Dispute In Calif.

Law360, Washington (October 8, 2013, 4:48 PM EDT) -- Cellphone maker Huawei Device USA Inc. on Tuesday asked the Federal Circuit to revive its California suit seeking invalidation of software patents asserted by Acacia Research Corp. in a related Texas case, arguing Huawei is a third-party beneficiary to an agreement that says disputes must take place in California.
