N. District Of Calif. Streamlines Patent Trial Rules

Law360, New York (February 22, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California modified its rules for the conduct of patent trials last Tuesday, promising to further streamline a litigation process that has already been imitated in other jurisdictions.

After meeting for more than a year, a special judicial committee arrived at a series of modifications that will take effect March 1. The committee reached its decision after studying judicial practices throughout the country.
