Dell's Co-Defendant In Tablet PC Patent Suit Settles

Law360, New York (February 22, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Tablet PC maker Motion Computing Inc. has settled a patent infringement lawsuit brought by two rival companies, although its co-defendant, Dell Inc., is not included in the terms.

Typhoon Touch Technologies Inc. and Nova Mobility Systems Inc. filed a suit in December in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, alleging that Motion Computing infringed two patents for portable touch-screen computers.

Dell was included as a defendant because it sold Motion Computing's products through its Web site.
