New NASAA Chief Eyes E-System For Securities Filings

Law360, New York (October 9, 2013, 1:39 PM EDT) -- The new president of the North American Securities Administration Association on Tuesday pushed for the creation of a centralized electronic system for filing securities, saying that a more modern approach is needed to track state registration and curb risks to investors.

Ohio Securities Commissioner Andrea Seidt launched her one-year term as NASAA president on Tuesday by laying out her vision of an automated filing system for registering corporation finance offerings.
