Carlyle Group's Massive London Residential Project OK'd

Law360, New York (October 9, 2013, 6:33 PM EDT) -- Global private equity giant The Carlyle Group has received local council approval for a 1.4-million-square-foot development on the River Thames in London, the firm announced Wednesday.

The Southwark Council's Strategic Planning Committee approved Carlyle's planning application to replace a two-building data center with a massive residential and office project, effectively creating a new neighborhood on the river.
