Broad View Of SOX Threatens Small Cos., Justices Told

Law360, New York (October 9, 2013, 7:52 PM EDT) -- Ruling that the Sarbanes-Oxley Act's whistleblower protections apply to private contractors for public companies would open up small businesses to costly litigation and conflict with Congress' goal of shielding such businesses from undue burdens, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce told the nation's highest court Monday.
