Madoff Trustee Seeks High Court OK To Pursue Big Banks

Law360, Los Angeles (October 9, 2013, 4:18 PM EDT) -- The liquidation trustee for Bernard Madoff's investment group on Wednesday asked the U.S. Supreme Court to allow him to pursue cases seeking billions of dollars in damages from JPMorgan Chase & Co. and other banks he alleges facilitated Madoff's Ponzi scheme.

Irving H. Picard, Securities Investor Protection Act trustee for Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC, asked the high court to review a Second Circuit decision denying his bid to seek damages from JPMorgan, UBS AG, HSBC Bank PLC and other financial institutions.
