9th Circ. Revives Minister's FTCA Claim Against US

Law360, Los Angeles (October 9, 2013, 6:39 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit on Wednesday reversed a district court’s dismissal of a negligence claim against the United States brought by a minister following her detainment, holding that a six-month statute of limitations provision in the Federal Tort Claims Act may be equitably tolled under the circumstances in the case.
