New Suits Fuel Gaming Industry Patent War

Law360 (December 16, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- The industry-wide battle over gaming patents continues to heat up, as two more companies have fired off lawsuits asserting patents that, given the growth of the gaming industry, could earn them billions.

Australia-based Aristocrat Technologies has filed a suit against International Game Technologies, alleging the company infringed a patent for video slot technology integral to casino slot machines.
