AIG Tries To Block Greenberg's Access To Papers

Law360, New York (February 22, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Insurance giant American International Group Inc. has made a last-ditch effort to prevent former Chief Executive Officer Maurice “Hank” Greenberg from gaining access to certain internal documents, asking a court to stay the order that required the company to turn over the papers.

In a motion filed on Friday in New York State Supreme Court, AIG asked the court to stay the appeals court order that would force the company to allow Greenberg and former Chief Financial Officer Howard Smith to see the documents.
