Ex-San Diego Mayor Cops To Battery, False Imprisonment

Law360, Los Angeles (October 15, 2013, 6:34 PM EDT) -- Embattled former San Diego Mayor Bob Filner pled guilty Tuesday to one felony count of false imprisonment and two counts of misdemeanor battery as part of a plea deal, the California attorney general announced.

Under the terms of the deal, Filner will give up the pension he accrued as mayor from the date of the alleged felony, March 6, until he resigned Aug. 23, the attorney general's office said.
