AIG Can Recoup Workers' Comp Payouts From 3rd-Party Deal

Law360, New York (October 16, 2013, 10:08 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey appellate panel allowed AIG Casualty Co. to place a lien on a former employee’s personal-injury settlement with a third party, ruling on Wednesday that AIG can recoup money it paid toward a workers’ compensation claim that was later declared noncompensable.
