Pom Wonderful Targets DQ's Julius 'Berry-Pom' Smoothies

Law360, New York (October 18, 2013, 1:19 PM EDT) -- Pom Wonderful LLC has sued Berkshire Hathaway Inc.-owned Dairy Queen and Orange Julius stores in California federal court for selling "Berry-Pom" fruit smoothies, which the juice giant says infringe on its own pomegranate trademarks.

Los Angeles-based Pom Wonderful filed the suit Oct. 11, claiming the chains are infringing the numerous trademarks POM Wonderful holds on a host of pomegranate-based beverages and products by selling the "Berry-Pom" smoothies.
