KB Home Says Condo Owners Hacked Emails, Infringed Mark

Law360, New York (October 18, 2013, 3:00 PM EDT) -- Developer KB Home launched a suit in Florida federal court Tuesday accusing five homeowners who lived in a damaged condominium complex of infringing its trademark with a website that disparages its reputation and illegally hacking its emails.

The homebuilder alleges that the men, who owned units at its Willowbrook complex in Bradenton, Fla., created at least 10 websites using its name to harm the company's business reputation by criticizing the company in an attempt to force the developer to buy back their units.
