EU To Probe Cemex Deal For Rival's Spanish Operations

Law360, New York (October 18, 2013, 2:34 PM EDT) -- The European Commission said Friday it will analyze the proposed acquisition of Holcim Ltd.’s Spanish cement operations by rival Cemex SAB de CV after Spain raised concerns the move could affect competition within the country.

In August, the companies jointly announced a series of moves that would shift their influences in Europe.
