Dairy Workers Vow To Fight TPP If It Hurts Labor Rights

Law360, New York (October 18, 2013, 6:06 PM EDT) -- Several unions representing dairy workers in the U.S. and other countries plan to oppose any Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement that undermines labor rights, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters said Friday.

The Teamsters, along with members of the Teamsters Canada, Australia's National Union of Workers and the New Zealand Dairy Workers Union, sent a letter to their respective countries' lead TPP negotiators, urging them to protect the interests of workers in the proposed Pacific Rim trade agreement.
