Volkswagen Coercing Tenn. Workers To Unionize, NLRB Told

Law360, New York (October 18, 2013, 4:54 PM EDT) -- A group of Volkswagen AG workers from Tennessee lodged a National Labor Relations Board charge Wednesday claiming that statements from management ran afoul of federal labor law by putting pressure on workers to accept union representation, the National Right To Work Legal Defense Foundation said.

Four Chattanooga, Tenn.-based workers filed their claim with the NLRB's regional arm in Atlanta, according to the NRTW, a nonprofit that bills itself as helping workers fight “compulsory unionism abuses.” The workers claim that statements from German VW officials are coercing...
