AUO Tells 9th Circ. To Nix Price-Fixing Verdict, $500M Fine

Law360, San Francisco (October 18, 2013, 4:43 PM EDT) -- AU Optronics Corp. and two of its executives urged the Ninth Circuit on Friday to reverse a jury's verdict finding them guilty of price-fixing liquid crystal display panels and fining them $500 million, arguing that they didn't violate the Sherman Act because the antitrust conspiracy took place entirely in Asia.
