Trico Strikes Back At Federal-Mogul With ITC Patent Suit

Law360, New York (October 22, 2013, 6:46 PM EDT) -- Trico Products Corp. asked the U.S. International Trade Commission on Monday to investigate whether products imported by a Belgian rival infringed Trico's patents covering the measurements and mathematical formula it uses to design its windshield wipers.

The Rochester Hills, Mich.-based wiper manufacturer alleges that foreign-made blades imported by Federal-Mogul SA and its Michigan unit, Federal-Mogul Corp., ripped off Trico's innovations, in violation of Section 337 of the Tariff Act.
