Law360, New York (October 24, 2013, 5:13 PM EDT) -- In a recent trial in coordinated proceedings pending before the state court located in San Diego, the continued relevancy and viability of the California Supreme Court’s decision in Ray v. Alad[1] was addressed.

Based upon the results of those proceedings, the author recommends that practitioners defending a claim of alter ego and/or successor liability under Ray strongly consider a bench trial on these issues as a means of resolving the case at an early stage in the litigation.
