Appeals Court Upholds Ruling For Microsoft

Law360, New York (February 26, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Relying largely on procedural considerations, a federal appellate court has upheld a district court's cancellation of a permanent bar on Microsoft Corp.'s right to market software that a 2005 jury found infringed on a patent.

On Tuesday, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit unanimously upheld the district court's decision dissolving a permanent injunction against the company.
