Hedge Fund Sues Rival For 'Corporate Espionage'

Law360, New York (February 26, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- New York-based hedge fund Elliott Management Corp. has sued Cedar Hill Capital Partners LLC, accusing the rival of a secret conspiracy to pilfer its confidential trading software with the help of two Elliott employees acting as double agents.

The fund filed a complaint in the Manhattan district court Tuesday, alleging Cedar plotted with two of its employees to “literally steal the software in order to use it for its own trading activities.”
