AstraZeneca Says Safe Harbor Dooms Crestor Patent Suit

Law360, New York (October 24, 2013, 6:18 PM EDT) -- AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP urged a South Carolina federal judge Wednesday to toss a patent infringement suit facing the drugmaker over a clinical trial for Crestor, saying its actions during the trial were protected by a safe harbor provision and there was no proof the company infringed the patents afterward.
