Lantronix Investors' Suit Against CSFB Halted

Law360, New York (February 26, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge on Tuesday decertified a class of plaintiffs in a lawsuit against Credit Suisse First Boston over allegedly misleading statements made by one of its former analysts, ruling that the plaintiffs could not show that the statements had caused their losses.

The plaintiffs filed the suit in 2003, saying that Kevin McCarthy, an analyst with CSFB's predecessor Donaldson Luftkin & Jenrette, encouraged the public to buy stock in web software company Lantronix Inc., even though he knew that it was not a sound investment....
