Dow Hits Texas Cos. Over Superfund Recovery Costs

Law360, New York (October 28, 2013, 6:58 PM EDT) -- The Dow Chemical Co. on Friday targeted the former owners of a Superfund site in Texas over alleged violations of the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act, seeking to recover the costs of treating the environmental damage at the site.

In a suit filed in Texas federal court, Dow Chemical targeted the firms, including now-defunct engineering firm Anglers E & C Inc., over pollution at the Gulfco Marine Maintenance Superfund site, a 40-acre site in Freeport, Texas.
