EU Watchdog Appeals Fine Reduction In Marine Hose Case

Law360, New York (October 28, 2013, 7:23 PM EDT) -- The European Commission has appealed a European Union court decision slashing a marine hose cartel fine against Parker ITR Srl from 25.61 million euros ($35.36 million) to 6.4 million euros, according to a notice published Saturday.

The EU antitrust watchdog challenged a May ruling from the bloc's General Court finding that the EC had inappropriately tried to hold Parker liable for all of the violations committed by a subsidiary it acquired from an unrelated company.
